How much does bookkeeping cost?
It depends on your transaction volume, number of employees, and how current your books are. We offer transparent fixed monthly fees, so you know exactly what you are paying—no hourly surprises. Book an appointment and we will quote clearly before any work starts.
My books are months (or years) behind. Can you catch them up?
Yes—backlog rescue is one of the most common jobs we do. We will reconcile the backlog, fix miscoded transactions, catch up overdue lodgements with the ATO where needed, and then set up a routine so your books never fall behind again.
Do you work with businesses outside Newcastle?
Absolutely. We work with businesses right across Australia. Bookkeeping is fully cloud-based—we work in your Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks file, meet over Zoom, and share documents digitally, so location is never a barrier.
Which bookkeeping software do you support?
We are Xero certified advisors and also work extensively with MYOB and QuickBooks. If you are still on spreadsheets, we can migrate you to cloud software, set up bank feeds and payroll, and train you or your team.
Can you handle payroll, STP, and super?
Yes. We process wages, report Single Touch Payroll to the ATO each pay run, track leave entitlements, and make sure superannuation guarantee payments go out before the deadline—so you stay compliant and your team gets paid correctly.
Will my books be ready for BAS and tax time?
That is the whole point. Your books are reconciled and review-ready every quarter, so BAS lodgement is quick and accurate. At year end, your accountant gets a clean file—which usually means lower accounting fees too.
What is the difference between a bookkeeper and an accountant?
Bookkeepers keep your day-to-day records accurate—reconciliation, invoicing, payroll, and reporting. Accountants use those records for tax returns, structuring, and strategic advice. At 123 Financial Group we do both under one roof, so nothing gets lost between two providers.
How soon can we get started?
We typically have appointments available within 3-5 business days. If you have an urgent issue—an overdue BAS, a payroll problem, or an ATO letter—let us know and we will prioritise it.
